Drove Arch Hut

Toby's Fold and Drove Arch Hut

An excerpt from Andy Goldsworthy's book 'Enclosure':

"It was intended that there should be a permanent site for the Drove Arch and we eventually found a site in Yorkshire near Ingleton - a small deralict barn and fold. Both were rebuilt in March 2003. (More information on the Journey of the Drove Arch.)

The arch can only be seen through an opening in the door. The fold has been named for Toby Grimwood who helped me make a series of white chalk arches at Goodwood sculpture park in 1995. Toby died at the age of 21 and his friends and family raised money to rebuild the hut in his memory."
